Full Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of the University’s Timetabling Improvement Project. This major investment will replace and bring together three business-critical, student-facing services: module timetabling, exam timetabling and resource booking systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the project within agreed tolerances, planning, managing and monitoring progress throughout the project lifecycle. You will lead significant business change, manage a wide range of stakeholders, and ensure effective project governance and quality management in line with the University's established project management framework.

Based in the University's Programme Management Office within the Information Services Directorate, you will join a team delivering a diverse portfolio of business change and technology projects that support the University's Strathclyde 2030 strategy.

In addition to leading project delivery, you will help shape and improve the University's project management practices, identifying opportunities to enhance our approaches and supporting colleagues involved in project delivery through coaching and guidance. Working with stakeholders at all levels across the University, you will play a key role in delivering successful organisational change.

This role offers significant variety, an excellent working environment, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact across the University. In return, we offer a competitive benefits package, flexible working arrangements, and a wide range of learning and development opportunities.

Applicants may use tools such as AI to support their application; however, all submissions must accurately reflect their own experience and understanding. The University reserves the right to verify the authenticity of application materials and may reject applications where concerns arise.
